RECIPE - RAW Choc coconut rolls

We all LOVEEEEEEEEEE Chocolate don't we??? OH MY GOODNESS! I love the stuff and who could of thought it could be so good for us!

All chocolate is made from Cocao. Chocolate consists of just one ingredient. NO SUGAR! NO DAIRY! NO CHEMICALS! JUST COCAO!
COCAO is a SUPERFOOD! It is high in  Antioxidants, Magnesium, Iron, Chromium, Manganese, Zinc, copper, Vitamin C, Omega-6 fatty Acids, Phenylamine, Anandamide, Tryptophan, Serotonin, Fiber.

So it contains alot and thats why it makes our bodies so happy when we eat it but when cocao is cooked alot of these great things are killed... For example the Omega-6 fatty Acids turn rancid making them trans-fats... YUCKY! SO throw away the cadbury and GO RAW with chocolate! Once you get into it you will never look back!

Tonight after dancing I was feeling like a treat so I threw a few things together and this is what I got -


1/4 cup ground Linseeds
1 cup Raw Almonds
1/2 cup Cocao
1 cup medjool dates
pinch sea salt

  1. In a food processor grind the almonds and Linseeds together
  2. Add the cocao and salt
  3. Throw in the Medjool dates
  4. When it has formed a soft dough take out of the food processor and roll into logs
  5. Cover in coconut
Makes about 10-12 rolls

And there you have it... DELICIOUS RAW CHOCOLATE!

Cos Lettuce
Red Cucumber
chia seeds
Goji Berries
Grilled Organic Chicken breast

Sweet Dressing

2 Tbls Olive oil
2 Tbls Organic raw honey
Juice of half a lemon
pinch Pepper

Now lets start with a basics! It is recommended that we eat 5-6 servings of vegetables every day... that is 6 cups of veges... who does that? It hard to do! We live in a processed society where most people eat out of a packet... We have become accustomed to a life where short cuts are made as its the easy root... take away, fast food, restaurants, packaged food - this food is made to taste good, to make us come back for more! Alot of the time it contains high amounts of sugar and chemically enhance flavours, colours and all the rest. Yes its easy and it tastes good but does it have the nutrients that we need to live? NO!

So if you are not finding enough time in the day to eat all these veges how can we get the nutrients we crave?? It is a scientific fact that when you are lacking well needed nutrients your body starts crying out for these by craving simple sugars and carbohydrates; aka the devil!.... We need to keep our body's nutrient needs satisfied so that we don't crave the bad guys!

So why not juice it?

  • A glass of juice counts as one serving. There is something about a raw, fresh juice... They are delicious and are packed full of all the good guys! If you have tried a home made juice you know what I am talking about! ARRRRRRRRRRRR_MAZING!  A Juice made from Raw fruits and vegetables (and we know that RAW is always best as it is packed with the highest nutrient content) is so delicious. Things that you would usually think to eat raw you can push through the juicer and enjoy! 
  • Juicing provides the body with vitamins, minerals, enzymes, carbohydrates, chlorophyll and countless other phytonutrients on a superhighway!

3 Carrots
1/2 beetroot
2 celery stick
2 large Kale Leaves 
1 thumb of Ginger

1 bunch fresh parsely
1 handful watercress
4 broccoli spears
1/2 pineapple

My new found passion for the life of my young family!

Hi there,

WELCOME TO MY BLOG and my very first blog post! I am full of inspiration and I want to share it with all of you!

I found my inspiration to pursue a life of natural living when I had my baby girl! She is amazing and I want to be able to give her everything, I want to be able to be a great parent! I want to provide her with the healthiest lifestyle ever!

So it all started with food... Where do you start and who do we listen to?

Formula verse breast?

When to start solids?

What to start with?

Who do we listen to?

And as I started asking these questions thats when I began my research! Who has all these answers? Ourselves!!! As a mother we should make these decisions for our children! Its know one else's choice what our children eat! We are responsible for putting the food in our children's mouth! We are responsible for putting the food into our mouths!! Dont we want the food that goes into us and our children's mouth to benefit? Dont we want the food we eat to do good? Why are we listening to the marketing campaigns that tell us that formula is just as good as the real thing? That processed baby rice cereal is the best thing for our 4 month old baby? That low fat, sugar filled food will make us skinny? It is all complete crap!!!!  I'm not saying that I haven't fallen for the latest fad diet, the marketing campaigns, all the bull! I totally have and has it worked?.... NEVER!

As parents and for humanity in general we need to do the research ourselves! Dont listen to the TV! Dont listen to the government! Listen to your gut !! Do the research yourself and Listen to how you feel... Listen to what you want to get out of life... LIVE IT!! DO IT!!
