First; start the day with a big glass of water followed by hot lemon to flush out the toxins to give you that kick start to the day.

Have some fresh fruit like blueberries, kiwi fruit , mango & oranges to give your skin some antioxidants. Little tip; try adding some chia seeds and goji berries to it as well.

Going for a 30 minute walk, yoga or run this will kick start your metabolism.

When you get home have a big glass of water with some fresh lemon or lime in it.

Then before having your shower, do some dry body brushing (You can buy the best one here)!! - This will give your skin an instant glow...

Now time for a shower-

Start the shower very hot for 2 mins, then cold for 1 minute. Do this a few times to get that skin pumping and get the cirulation going. Doing this everyday will help firm & tone the skin and boost your immune system.

While your still in the shower, give your body a good scrub! This will get rid of all those uneven dead skin cells and promote smooth glowing skin.

I like to use:

1/2 sugar
1/4 olive oil
1 tsp fresh grated ginger
Mix all together. Apply all over the body and scrub scrub scrub.
Please note: always do a test patch first.

For your face, I like to use some Bi-carb soda mixed in with some water to make a paste... Just apply all over the face. Scrub and then rinse off.

Mask time: coconut oil mask.
Apply a thick layer of coconut oil to the face and neck, leave for 15 mins, then rinse off with a face washer.
Great for all skin types.
Eco tan Invisible skin You can buy it here!

So now it time to fake it with the summer glow!! Please remember to always apply fake tan evenly and wash your hands well afterwards.
I love using ECO TAN - You can buy it here!!!

Ok so I have been talking about getting the body ready!! Its time to get skin specific...
Face time:
So the time coming when it means getting ready! And your thinking right!
Make -up time... where do I start right? Well I have some tips for you...

First, always start with a fresh face -  cleanse . Tone . and Moisturise!
Then, because you want your make up to stay on for the night with all that dancing; using a primer under your foundation will do the trick!!! This will help your make up stay on and be long lasting.

So you have your primer on, now putting on your foundation you should be going with less is more!!!! You can always add more! (Its a lot harder to rub off if you put to much on right away).  Always blend and watch your neck line!! There is nothing worse in seeing someone with a face full of make up and it's not blended.
Choosing a colour that matches your skin is the key! You can always add bronzer to add more depth in colour.

Little tip; adding some illuminator to your foundation will give your skin a really dewy look and it looks amazing.

Once your foundation is on and the colour is right, and well blended its time to add some concealer.

Concealer should always be a shade lighter than your foundation.
I like to conceal under my eyes around your nose, and blemishes if you have any....

Once that's done its time to add some colour to your face (that's if you need any) with bronzer! I like to add it to my nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin. Always make sure you are blending well down the neck.

Little tip; you can also add some to your chest or arms if you want some more colour.

I like using a little blush! This gives you that little glow to high light the cheeks. To apply, suck your cheeks together and then apply it to your cheek bone. Once again, less is more!!! Peach and pink colours are great colour's to work with and they look great.

Eye work-

Eyes can be tricky so make sure you blend, and when using a eye pencil always sharpen it well so you get an even straight line.
If you make any little mistake's use a cotton tip to remove.

If you are wearing dark smoky eyes, then nude lips look the best.

If you are wearing bright red lips, then try just doing some soft gold over your eye lids.
Don't go matching matching!!!

To finish your look, apply some colour to your nails and toes!!!!!

And most of all; have fun..... Xxx and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Ps..... Please remove your make up when you get home!!!

Hi everyone,
Yvette here from holistic health and beauty! Have you been looking at your skin lately and thought!!! My skin looks Dull, Flaky, uneven, large pores, unwanted blackheads.., well you are not alone!
Well I have a secret I want to share with you that can help with these problems
EXFOLIATION yes!!! Exfoliating The skin 2 to three times per week you do wonders for your skin.. and  can remove the build up of dead skin cells that is clogging up the top layer of the skin.
Exfoliation of the skin helps with blood circulation, you may have notice after dry brushing or giving yourself a body scrub your skin is a little flushed and you'll have that instant glow ( I love that)..Try to dry brush your whole body every day to flush out those unwanted toxins and to help tone your skin and remove unwanted cellulite.

I have some wonderful recipes you can use! And they will make your skin glow without using any harsh chemicals.
Note: while exfoliating can be amazing for the skin!!!! There are times you shouldn't exfoliate.

I want you to meet an old (not in age) and very good friend of mine Tommy from Toms Timber Furniture. Tommy and I went to school together down in the Snowy Mountains and although we haven't been in contact too much lately, I just became aware that he is making the most amazing and beautiful furniture!!! And to make it all even better, it doesn't just look amazing but it is all 100% recycled! I really want you to check out his work as it is just awesome! So I wanted to take 5 minutes today to chat with Tommy to  give you the run down on how it all started (because I want to know!!!!) and he has something beautiful to GIVEAWAY too!!!!

1. Hi Tommy. Thanks for doing this interview. Tell us a bit about yourself and your company. How did it all start?
Hi Cass. Not a problem at all, I always love talking to other young entrepreneurs.
I grew up on a farm in the snowy mountains in a small town called Cooma, and moved to Sydney when I was 19 to begin study and pursue a career as an engineer.
I have always had a passion for building and when it came to furnishing a house as a full time student the options were either; find it by the side of road in council clean up or build it yourself. So as our house started to fill up with milk crate bookcases and three legged tables I decided it was time to build myself some furniture and make our residence look more like a home than a dumping ground.
I picked up a load of fence palings the next time I was back in Cooma and set to work to build myself a coffee table. Followed soon after by a TV unit, dining table, storage chest, outdoor setting, side table, a bed and a mirror.
I was surprised at the amount of comments the furniture was getting, and it didn’t take long till my mates were commandeering me to build them something for their “dumping ground”.
As I filled my friends homes with furniture, friends of friends began to contact me enquiring about the pieces. This was the first time I even considered turning this hobby into a small business and from their saw the beginning of Tom’s Timber Furniture.
2. We understand that all your creations are made with recycled timber, tell us why you work like this.
For me, I love the fact that the recycled timber means every piece is unique. Even if you make two pieces of the same design, the imperfections in the timber; as well as the colouring to come through once it is sanded make each piece look unique and different
Tom at work!
I also love the idea of creating something from nothing. The majority of the timber I use is seen as rubbish by most, yet I am able to see it as a new piece of furniture.
3. What’s your favourite piece of furniture you've made?
My favourite piece to date would have to be a low line TV unit I built for a fellow in Mosman. It was 2m long, 500mm high and had 4 doors along the front. It really was a beautiful piece.
The hardest thing about building all this furniture is not being able to keep it for yourself. As each piece is completely hand built and custom made I feel a real connection to it when I complete it.
4. Do you have any advice or inspiration to send out to any of our readers that are thinking about starting their own business???
My advice would be that if you think you can turn something that you really love and are passionate about into your job, and still enjoy it, then you should definitely pursue it.
5. Lastly, anything you want to share with us about your business and what we're giving away today?
The piece I’m giving away today is a recycled timber serving board with a single ramekin in the centre. It is made from 100% recycled materials and is perfect for serving up nibbles to accompany your cheeky Sunday afternoon beverage.
I would like to thank everyone for their amazing support and if you haven’t already, jump onto our website and have a look around.

RECIPE: Collette from "Cut out the Crap" shares with us her PARENTS COOKIES recipe.

These cookies make a regular appearance in our home and disappear just as quick! They have also been one of the most popular recipes from my blog and I couldn’t help but share them again! I have called them ‘parents cookies’ as I tried to selfishly ban the children from eating them so I could have them all to myself ha didn’t work....they know my hiding place for goodies in the kitchen so we all enjoy them together now!

Collette at the beach for the first day this summer.
I am semi organized for Christmas although I feel like I have a years worth of wrapping ahead of me, with 4 children and my twins that are turning 2 on the 23rd December, it is going to be the most fun Christmas yet! As for my beautiful books, I am excited to have just ordered more Cut out the Crap books which is now well and truly a best seller! YAY!  Cut out the Crap for Kids is going wonderfully and the feedback I have been getting (it’s NOT just for kids!) is touching. I am busy working on Cut out the Crap #3 at the moment , which still remains nameless! Ha ha!

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas full of great healthy and scrumptious food and many blessings for the New Year.

Take Care of You,
Collette x

Parents Cookies

1 ½ cups almond meal
2 tblspns coconut butter/oil – (my measurement was 2 tblspns solid and then I melted it to liquid)
2 tblspns rice milk
½ cup dairy free choc drops – I use the brand “Sweet William”
2 tblspns rapadura
1 tspn cacao
1 tspn cinnamon

Preheat oven to 180c and line a large tray with baking paper.

In a large bowl place the almond meal, coconut oil and rice milk. Mix well.

Add the remaining ingredients and combine well, slightly kneading it in the bowl to make sure it’s all sticking together (I used my hands).

Make round balls (teaspoon size) and place on tray. Slightly flatten with a fork. (Mine did not spread so they don’t have to be too far apart).

Bake in preheated oven to 7-8 minutes.

Allow to cool on a wire rack.

Makes 18 cookies.

NOTE: If there are any cookies left (after you ate some uncooked and then one hot out the oven....and then 2 once they were cool....oh hang on, that was ME that did that!) you can then try this addition.....
2 tblspns icing sugar
½ tspn cacao (once again this can be cocoa)
1 tspn rice milk

Mix all ingredients well.

Place a small amount one cooled cookie and place another cookie on top! Not only do they remind me of the look of “Kingston” biscuits, I get the taste too.....
