Heres the run down on the heritage kettle, colour control multi processor and the colour control 3-in-1 stick mixer. As well as some super yummy recipes for you to enjoy too!

THE "RUBY RED" HERITAGE KETTLE
Opening the box of this babe was pure joy; a ruby red kettle to sit on my bench top to give us forever flowing perfect tasting tea and that is does! The heritage kettle is super quiet, looks elegant and the handle, well my husband and I cant stop raving about it! Its an absolute winner; a mummy-must have this mothers day! The below recipe comes from the russell hobs team and it is to die for, drink it hot, warm or cold, always delicious!

RECIPE: Iced Ginger Mint Tea By the Russell Hobbs team
Prep time: 5 mins (plus cooling 2 hours)

Ingredients:
3 Green tea bags
3 cups boiling water
1/2 cup mint leaves
3cm fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
1 tbl honey
Lemon Slices to serve

Method:
Place the tea, mint leaves and ginger in a large tea pot. Pour in 3 cups of boiling water and let steep for 5 minutes.
Remove tea bags and leave cool to room temperature. Strain the leaves and ginger, stir in the honey and transfer to a large jug.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours and serve in glasses over ice with a slice of lemon.

Serves 2-4

THE COLOUR CONTROL MULTI PROCESSOR
A food processor is a mums best friend and this one is great with its sleek design and very simple to use controls. The colour control range is a brand new range to russell hobbs; its bringing simplicity back with a bit of pop! 4 speeds equal 4 colours and each colour has its job whether it be chopping, blending, grating or pulsing, it does it to perfection. It also comes with a blender attachment for smoothies! Below is a simple, but let me tell you > AMAZING, recipe for fresh homemade pesto to make in your russell hobbs colour control food processor. This recipe is so delicious! I'm warning you now, once you start nibbling on this one, you wont stop!

RECIPE: Wild Rocket Pesto by the Russell Hobbs team
Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients;
1/2 bunch Continental parsley, leaves and stems
3 handfuls of rockets
100ml extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
100g pine nuts
100g parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper

Method
Place all ingredients into the food processor bowl and pulse (red) until combined to your desired consistency. If you are after a smoother result, just pulse (red) for a little longer until you have your desired consistency.

Tip: Serve tossed through warm pasta, on bruschetta or as a dip.

THE COLOUR CONTROL 3-IN-1 STICK MIXER
Another great addition to the russell hobbs range and a perfect addition to a mum's kitchen. Stick mixers are handy at the best of times to mix up your big batches of soup but this little whopper does more than pureeing soups, The Colour Control 3-in-1 hand blender comes with a large 1000ml beaker, whisk and a 750ml chopping bowl. This means it is great for blending, whipping, chopping, pureeing and more. With its great stream line look it sits very nicely on any bench top.
Get your salsa on below with this bit of delicious-ness! Have you ever made homemade salsa? Its super easy with the Colour Control 3-in-1 hand blender!

Her very first bike, a BYK BIKE!

This big girl has been talking about having a "pedal bike" ever since she set her eyes on a friends at the beginning of last year... With alot of chat and a fair bit of researching we wanted to find a bike that would be easy to ride, safe and something she could pass onto her little brother. Every bike we seemed to stumble across was bright pink and covered in blah... Yeh as girly as my little girl is, I do struggle at times with the bright pink frilly blah! I was scouring online for months; I wanted a bike that would last!  Alot of the bikes on the market are hard to learn on so kids dont get the opportunity to be given a good foundation when learning how to ride a bike. Their wheels are small and the frames a little awkward... After alot of time spent on Mr google I got stuck on the byk bikes website; they just looked so pretty (yes I can be sold easily on the look of some things) with such a great range of bikes for every age. What drew me in closer, was the look of the wheel size of the bikes; they looked so big which makes it so simple for little ones to get moving. Mix that with the ergonomic frames, long lasting parts and the fun bright colours and I was sold... That was it, we had to have one!

We decided on the E-350x2i geared kids bike; this bike is pretty special as it has an internal 2-speed i-motion gear system which has been customised for this E-350x2i. There are no external moving parts so its super safe and amazingly easy to learn on. All byk bikes have lightweight alloy wheels and smooth fast rolling tires so that pedalling is easier and kids can keep moving for longer. Along with a whole heaps of other wonderful features, what is also very cool, is that byk bikes are 30% lighter than most kids bikes on the market; another reason they are easier to ride! Byk bikes are made for kids, designed by a dad and really are a fantastic bike for our children!

Bringing home princess P's brand new pedal bike was a delight in itself, the look of glee in her eyes and the excitement in your voice... "IS.. THIS.. REALLY... MY ... PEDAL... BIKE???" And then the eagerness to get up and riding was just such a beautiful proud moment for us all. Our little girls first big girl bike!
So the afternoons have been spent cutting laps at the park, getting the hang of pushing the pedals and the listening to the calling out from the rider singing; "look at me mummy! I'm going faster faster!"

About BYK BIKES:

The ByK [prounounced 'bi-kay'] Bike was born from one father's desire to build a bike that was made specifically for children.  One that was suitable for a child's growing body and differing proportions to that of an adult.  Warren Key has owned bicycle stores his whole life and knows a thing or two about bike design.

He has a 12, 10 and 6 year old and realised early on that there were no well designed bikes on the market for children, anywhere in the world.  After a few years of research, design and prototypes, the ByK Bike is now available for Australian children to own.

With the ergonomic design, the bikes fit the rider better in all the right places for all the right reasons. Never before have children had a better chance to learn to ride and love to ride. - See more at: http://www.bykbikes.com/

Disclaimer: This awesome byk bike was gifted to us for review but all words and opinions are my own.

Fun in the sun on a Worthy Skateboard!

I've always wanted to learn to skateboard; not do tricks or anything, just cruise on a long board, big turns, a little hill, just gliding along... Being a mum of 2; its not easy to get out and do such a thing but you can imagine how my heart skipped a beat when I saw these beauties by Worthy Skateboards for the very first time. Handcrafted 1960's inspired masterpieces made with eco salvaged recycled rare Australian hardwood timber with bright funky wheels; IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SITE!

And let me tell you; its fun! When our Worthy longboard arrived; we cracked it opened and the babies have fought over it ever since, its been scooting around the lounge room (literally), down to the park and if it cannot be seen, I am asked where the skateboard has gone. It is an absolute winner and a joy to ride. Still a little unsteady on my feet; I'm getting the hang of it around the park and Mr live it do it is killing it.

Worthy skateboards was created and owned by practising naturopath and lover of skateboarding; Tyler Bignell. Tyler really enjoys making skateboards and Aussie hardwood timbers are pretty hard to beat in terms of their beauty. All Worthy boards are hand-shaped from eco-salvaged Aussie hardwoods - mostly from Qld - meaning that they have not been logged or felled, but salvaged after coming down naturally in storms/floods/cyclones/erosion etc... AMAZING! Tyler has been so kind enough to give one of our lucky readers the chance to win one of his amazing skate boards! All this is happening over on instagram so head over and repost the below pic with #worthwin and following both @worthyskateboards & @liveitdoit and you will be in the draw! GOOD LUCK!!!!!
Make sure you head over to Worthy Skateboards shop in the mean time and have a browse of the beauty!
