DIY - 3 wrapping styles to make your pressies 'pop' this Christmas!

Christmas is creeping up and I love fancy christmas wrapping but I have no idea where to start so I'm excited to share with you some fun techniques from TYPO. Happy wrapping. Let me know how you go!

Wrap #1 - The Pom Pom-athon
Step 1
Choosing your base paper (go straight for the fluoro!), wrap your present using on-a-roll tape ensuring all edges are nicely creased.

Step 2
Using Typo’s Dual Twine, wrap it around the centre of your present 3 or 4 times crossing it over itself each time. Fasten by tying a knot. You can mix and match in different twines, trims or ribbons for a textured look. We’ve gone straight for a sequinned fluoro pink trim. Delish!

Step 3
Either make or grab your pre-made pom pom (Typo’s pom pom maker kit makes it a breeze to knock them out) and tie to your present using twine or a strong glue.

Step 4
Attach a dag tag or your choice and presto! One pom pom-athon gift all wrapped up!

WRAP #2 - The Belly Band
Step 1
Choosing your base paper, we recommend a bold print, wrap your present using on-a-roll tape ensuring all edges are nicely creased.

Step 2
Using a contrasting paper, either another bold print or a complimentary solid colour (we’ve opted for classic kraft paper), cut a strip about half of the width of your present. Tuck the edges of the paper underneath (the best trick to hide your messy edges) and wrap around the centre of the present, taping it at the bottom of the present.

Step 3
Using Typo’s Dual Twine, wrap it around the centre of your present 3 or 4 times crossing it over itself each time. Fasten by tying a knot. You can mix and match in different twines, trims or ribbons for a textured look.

Step 4
Grab an ‘out there’ accessory. We’ve gone straight for the Typo favourite wooden letter (in our initial, of course!)

Step 5
Affix with dual twine along with a dag tag or your choice and presto! One belly band gift all wrapped up!

Wrap #3 - The Vintage Woodlands
Step 1
Choosing your base paper (we love a good kraft paper base), wrap your present using on-a-roll tape ensuring all edges are nicely creased.

Place a Typo doily smack bang in the middle for a bit of vintage love. Grab your trim of choice, we can’t overlook the jute twine for a more rustic look and to stay in a neutral colour scheme. Wrap it around the centre of your present 3 or 4 times crossing it over itself each time. Fasten by tying a knot.

Step 3
Using one of Typo’s wooden ornaments, write a personalised message to your recipient, affix to the gift using the jute twine.

Step 4
That’s it! Yet another amazingly simple yet standout gift to place under the tree!
