RECIPE: Creamy Walnut Chocolate Spread


As a mum, it can be easy to fall into the trap of buying the highly processed chocolate spreads. Kids love them and the marketing tells you they hold some health value. Problem is that is packed full of refined sugar and harmful additives that little bodies just don't need. It is really simple to make your own and the kids will love getting their hands dirty and helping you create fun food. This nut spread is a little different as it brings a walnut taste into it and it is so creamy, its delicious! I hope you like it!

Prep Time: 10 mins
Makes 1-2 cups

Ingredients:
2 cups walnuts
1/3 cup coconut nectar
1 tbls cacao powder
2 tbls roasted carob powder
1/3 macadamia oil

Method:
Place all ingredients into the food processor.
MILL everything for 1 minute or until mixture is almost smooth. Use wand if needed to press ingredients down.
BLEND mixture for 10-20 seconds or until creamy.

Store in a jar in the fridge for up to 1 month.
