We know activated almonds are good for you but Tamari almonds are so freaking yummy! The bummer with tamari almonds though is that they are roasted so the nutrients are stripped as soon as you put them in the oven. So I put my dehydrator into action and am providing you with a very simple, super yummy way to have your cake and eat it too (the tamari almond way)…
What you will need:
400 grams Raw Almonds
1/4 cup Tamari Sauce
Place your raw almonds in a large bowl and put enough filtered water in to cover the almonds. The cover with a lid and leave to soak over night.
In the morning rinse the activated almonds and place back in the clean bowl.
Pore in the tamari sauce and stir through. Leave to marinate for about 1/2 hour stirring occasionally.
Get rid of the excess sauce and place almonds evenly on on the dehydrator trays.
Turn dehydrator on medium heat and leave to dehydrate for 12 hours.
