I’ve been eyeing off these slow press juicer’s for a while now; researching into juicer’s that keep in all the good stuff and being able to juice delicate things like greens and ginger. The problem with a lot of the slow press juicer’s is that you need to cut up all your veggies in such small pieces for it to work efficiently, placing each piece in so slowly and then cleaning is a pain in the butt. I wanted a juicer that was mum-friendly; something that keeps all the high nutrients in our juices, is simple to use, easy to clean and looks good. Enter; the MOD cold press juicer. Having the kids on the GAPS protocol for the past year, its recommended to drink fresh carrot juice everything morning, this has been something I have not been good at without a great juicer. Over the past 2 weeks; having the MOD cold press in our house; we have made an array of different juices to really put it to the test. My favourite carrot and ginger based juice has been a huge winner but a good green juice has been a treat too. I love watching how the machine slowly pushes the vegetables through the machine and strains out the juice. It’s pretty amazing and the kids love being involved to create their own flavours.
I’m not a huge fan of fruit juice but I did have a whole heap of oranges getting old so I put them through the juicer and OMG, the taste was out of control. Was really nice for a refreshing treat.
